I was fortunate to have a piece of music of mine licensed for The Walking Dead on AMC. My piano arrangement of “Away in a Manger” was used for 2:06 in the episode called “Forget” from Season 5. The song is from my instrumental Christmas release, “Christmas With Hensley.” I’ve got CDs you can email me to order, or you can buy it on iTunes or Amazon.
It’s always fun to get a BMI statement to see where music I’ve written is showing up. I added a few new shows to the list over the last reporting quarter including “Mob Wives Chicago” and “Big Ang” on VH1, “BBQ Pitmasters” on Discovery, and “Counting Cars” on History Channel.
And there was a nice rerun of the song I wrote with Billy Porter that was featured in “So You Think You Can Dance” called “Time.” Evidently it was used in Season 3 and again in Season 9. “Time” was streamed 66,000 times on YouTube… my cut? $1.12. YEAH!
Here’s the YouTube of the latest airing of that tune:
P.S. If you found this page and you’re looking for Sheet Music for “Time,” click on the page below to shoot me an email… it’s now available!
I had a few new placements show up on my BMI statement today… a couple shows on VH1 (Mob Wives and Why Am I Still Single), a new one on Discovery Channel (Carfellas), and on History Channel (United Stats of America). But, my two big shows are Dog the Bounty Hunter and Parking Wars. Almost every show has a cue of mine in it. Fun stuff.
